I am on the West Coast and we didn't have many of the old heavy cast iron air stations here, Where or how could I find some of these and get them transported to the west. Can't just go drive around the east and midwest, so any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Craig

What do you mean by "air stations"? An air meter like an Eco 97 or are you talking about an AIR--WATER--station with maybe an overhead light attached??

What does the air water station look like? What would one of those run unrestored?

I should have been more specific. Old cast iron air meters, Romort, air scale, american tank, early ecos, lipman.
Thanks

The term "Air Station" was used to describe the units that had a spring or bent in the middle. Romort used it as early as 1919.
When I wrote the Air Meter book I stated in the beginning that I was faced with many names I could use for the book. I picked "Air Meters" because more people would recoginze it.

Got these right in the middle of my home town. United States Air Compressor Co. and Romort Air Stations. I am pretty sure I will never ever get the chance to own another. Definitely the deal of a lifetime for me. Good luck in your search.

Yes. those are great. I need the big honken ones that are cast iron like a building or round ecos that look like a tire drum. Have one of the ecos now with the head on it and globe mount. They just are great pieces.
