ANYBODY SEEN THIS ONE BEFORE?IT IS ABOUT 10-11 FT TALL AND I WAS WONDERING IF IT WAS USED AT A NEW STATION GRAND OPENING OR BRAND CHANGE? ANY INFO IS APPRECIATED.THANKS

the logo on his uniform looks like Atlantic Richfield (could be wrong there)...whats the logo on his hat? Anyway I would assume the Sinclair coming down and what ever company he is with is going to go up!!!

To me, used at the the brand change from Sinclair to ARCO. Interesting looking sign. IMO there shouldn't be too many still out there.

It was a transition sign used when Sinclair stations were being rebranded to ARCO. It should be a tin single sided sign, two or three pieces. Not many left around from what I know as they were a big tin lightweight sign and some got bent or rusty over the years. The Sinclair trapazoid part should be one seperate piece, the man may be one or two pieces. Probably only used temporarly to show the customers that Sinclair is being replaced by ARCO. I have only seen a few around, never saw one in exceptional condition.
