I appreciate all the business that all of you have sent me over the years, but now my inguinal hernia is at a point where I MUST have surgery.
The deed is set for August 24 which is just a few weeks away.
Joe will have to be slowing down now since I can just barely work at all. I have to get prepared for the aftermath of surgery and try to keep the plumbing co running too.

The hernia is so bad now it looks like I have a Goose Egg under my skin on the right side of the Ol MOJO Maker...LOL
For at least the next two months or so, I can't promise any quicky jobs.

During this time I hope to sell a few things and also release my ID for the VEEDER ROOTS while I am laid up to help pay my utilities and junk since I live alone.
I could also use a few prayers too.

Right now there are 7 computers in shop to be rebuilt so if you want one done you will have to get in line and be patient.

I apologize for the inconvienence but I have to get myself fixed. I have no other choice but surgery.
I hope that when I start selling the stuff I am getting up,
that I can get some support from the site to help keep me afloat.

Thanks Guys and Gals
Joe Yocom

I wish you nothing but Good luck, Joe and I will say a prayer for your speedy recovery!

In the service I had to have a double hernia repaired (for those who contemplate jumping out of a jet aircraft, make sure your 'chute straps are as tight as humanly possible,LOL). I was laid up for less than a month, but then again I was only 19 yrs old and didn't know any better.

I'll put you in my prayers too, Joe.
Back in '97 I had a similar hernia surgery. After the staples came out in a week, I felt a lot better. I was gimpy and definitely light duty. But got better each week and was normal as I get in a month. No re-occurence. Glad I did it.

Do not worry about it Joe, most of these old rusty computers have been waiting for 40+ year to be restored and a few more months won't hurt a thing. Take your time on the recovery and DON'T push it. I have seen your work on these computers and I'm sure others will agree anyone that would like a Veedor Roots computer RESTORED correctly and to BEST quality in the business will have no problem waiting for the "Computer Doctor" to get better. Good Luck on the Surgery keep us posted on the recovery and remember we are all pulling for you to get well soon

Prayers are being sent your way. Once it is done and you recover you'll wonder why you put it off for so long.

Joe,
I just had it done on the left side April 16th. At 64 years old it takes a long time to heal. Still being very careful. DO NOT rush it. This is what prompted me to design my four wheel hand truck for moving pumps. Too many heavy pumps. I wish I had built one years ago. Listen to the doctor. You should not be lifting computers for at least four to five weeks. Good luck and we will be pulling for you.
By the way I still have to do the center and right side..... frown

Hey Joe--I understand what you're facing. No matter how routine, it always bothers me to have to go thru surgery! My prayers are with you and even tho you live alone, you're not really alone because we'll all be thinking about you and sending our prayers! Good luck my friend!

two episodes....
In one Uncle Jed was explaining to someone that He and Ellie May were Clampets,
Jethro was a Bodine.....
Pearl Bodine , Jethro & his twin sister Jethrene's Mother,
was Jed's sister inlaw,
and Granny was Pearl and Jed's deceased wife's Mother,
and that granny was a Moses.

Another episode granny was talking to a gypsy woman and disclosed her name as being Daisy.

Thanks for the distraction...
I needed to get my mind off things for a bit.
