I am thinking about going to the dixie gas show in Tn. and was wondering if it would be worth driving 2.5 hours? I wouldn't be able to make it until the last day of the show which would be on Saturday.

Thanks,
Nick

It is a great show, But I think you would be very disappointed to go to ANY 2-3 day show on the last day, Vendors just do not stick around after selling their best stuff.

Our trip time is eight hours......this show is worth it. Now having said that....We have been doing Dixie Gas for years. Usually we do pull out on Friday afternoon as the customer traffic is about over by then. There are a few vendors who stay for Saturday but not the huge number that occupy the show earlier. If you wanted to seriously do this show, do it well before the last day. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Most vendors will be gone by Saturday, but as close as you are, if I were you, I'd go anyway if that is the only time you have. The "good" stuff that you are looking for might still be there....

Last September, Wayne Story, Lenny Chandler, a handful of others and myself sold pretty good on saturday....People showed up wanting to look and buy and was wondering where all the vendors were.
It was my first time. Souperhigh and myself both sold and bought well...Wish I was going...dang this new house!
Rod run and show down the road is awesome!

Thanks for all the info! The only day I will be able to go is on Saturday. I will keep my fingers crossed that the vendors will be there.

I will be there, it is well worth the drive. I only have to drive 8 hours. In my opinion last year there were more vendors and walk in traffic than at Columbus show. I have to leave Friday at noon to go to a Virginia Tech Football game. Bud Foster the defense coach I went to high school with. Dan
