Does anyone know how late the show will go Thurs and Friday. I can't leave home till 11 am fri and will take about 2& 1/2 hours to get there. Do you think that would be too late on friday ?

No. Usually the vendors wait until about 2-3 PM to start getting out on Friday. Thursday- most everyone is there until 5-6 PM. Right now I plan to stay over until Saturday, so I'll probably be there until that time on Friday. We'll just have to see. Anything in particular that you are looking for?...Dale

Well it rained for the first half of the day. Nothing super rare seemed to turn up except the Metro Gasoline sign. It was painted tin, double sided. Back side was completely gone. I was asleep and didn't buy it. It sold for $100.00 and later sold for $400.00. Vendor turnout seemed light for today. Don't know if rain kept people away. Will try and get more pictures tomorrow. Pat.

Because as with most shows, vendors and buying public are there by Wednesday morning and vendors have sold most of there items by Thursday afternoon. Tomorrow is good for about half a day. This has been going on for as long as I can remember. Promoters have tried everything to get people to stay and it just doesn't happen. I use to stay through Saturday but it's just not worth it anymore:expense of another night in hotel, meals, time away from family. It's a fact that majority of die hards are going to get to show early. Unfortunately for those that can't get there early, there just isn't going to be much happening Friday and Saturday.Pat.

Likeitall,Pictures of Linco sign are probably from an old swap meet.

Promoters need time to unwind, before they return to work on Monday.
A lot of Vendors/buyers need to be back @ work on Monday. It takes me approx. 30 hours of steady driving to return home after Iowa Gas.

Well I got back from Chips about four this morning and I will tell you it was a great show! Well worth the 14 hour drive one way. I honestly think that there was more foot traffic and buyers than there was at Columbus. I was going to stay till Saturday but there was a major threat of rain. We all know what its like to pack in the rain. I did hear that it rained all night and into this morning. Anybody who is thinking of going to this show should check it out.

Since I am a little closer than John, I got home around midnight. We both left at around three P.M. on Friday. These have to be my favorite show's....I do both Spring and Fall....of any that I do. The setting is perfect. Chip and Happy are great hosts. Vendors are friendly and crowds good. Very laid back and a bunch of fun. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

This show has always been great for me in selling and buying. I also left around three on Friday evening. I had planned to stay over for Saturday this year, but the threat of the above mentioned rain had me driving south. Only about a three hour drive for me, though. Could not ask for a better show or hosts....Dale

Easy to say, The only show I know of that can pull this off is at Peotone which has a chained enclosure and nowhere to go other than just wait. All sounds good but we are a very creative croud and thats what it's all about.

...enjoyed meeting Chris and Brady (thanks again for the tip), talking to Phil, and meeting Grabber...Dave's chicken is the best chicken-on-the-bone I have ever eaten, bar none...even the bookend rain didn't spoil the show...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
