Hi. Over the summer I stripped a painted painted Atlantic curb sign using water, dulled single edge razor blade and course rubbing compound. Put the water on and give it a couple of minutes, then slowly work a single small area. Sometimes it gets stubborn which case I used a little rubbing compound to thin the area which helps get the process going again. Don't dig with the razor or pick at it, just slide it as the water is a lubricant so keeping it fairly wet helps. In my case the first bottom layers were older house paint and the top coat was a rubberized latex. See before and after pictures at BOTW: "BUYS OF THE WEEK!" - OCT 12TH - OCT 18TH. John

Hi I am new to this sight. And i was reading your request and i had the same problem with a goodyear sign . I tried everything i could think of and nothing worked. So finally i diluted automotive paint stripper with water and used that. And it worked great, but you have to work fast and keep rinsing with water and reappling.Good luck John.

I read in the paper this morning that Martha Stewart reccomended alcohol to remove latex paint from wood floors. Might be worth a try...
