Going to get rid of the gas pumping parts of it though. Thing is way heavier than I thought. I can't imagine what some of those older pumps must weigh.

Call me crazy but I use a Nissan Maxima to haul EVERYTHING (minibikes included) and have for years. Works like a champ and gets awesome gas mileage.

That will be a good looking pump when done for a newer pump. I think I contacted you on a pump I had for sale on craigs but it was older than you were looking for.

Got yourself a nice little project now. If you have little kids around, Plexiglas works for the windows. All 3 of my pumps like that have it. I do not know when the manufactures switched from glass to Plexiglas but it takes a beating much better. Mike

Is there a frame that goes around the window on this pump? Also what is cheaper glass or plexiglass?

Brand new prices I believe Plexiglas would be cheaper. At least when I replaced my Blast Cabinet windows it was cheaper to go with Plexiglas. Here is the frame from my Gilbarco Pump. Yours would be a little different but this should give you an idea. Mike

I just figured out today that there is a second half to the face plates on my pump that I don't have. Anyone know where I could get that? From pictures I have found it looks like there used to be a piece about the same size as the upper face plate on both sides but without any holes in it. Here is a picture I found that shows what I am talking about. http://www.flickr.com/photos/10707024@N04/2701759945/in/photostream/ The part I am trying to find is the part that says regular

Anyone know how to open up the electrical box? I can't seem to figure it out. Looks like the back screws off but I can't get it to move. I will post a picture of it soon but it is a cylinder shapped box if that helps.

Found a Derby decal under the phillips 66 decal today. Is in pretty good shape and it is on a few layers of thick paint so I was hoping to remove the paint layer with the decal attached and maybe put it in a frame or something. Anyone know hwo to do that?

Doesent look like I need any of the things I pulled out of the base. Is there a special way to remove the computer or is it just the few bolts on the bottom? Also how do I redo it? I really like taking gearboxes appart and cleaning them out and getting them going again and I am tempted to do the same here but I'm not sure if I should. Also any instuctions on lubricating it?

Found this under the phillips 66 logo on the other pannel. Anyone know how to remove a decal without damaging it? I also found this under the AVGAS 100LL sticker.

Does anyone know how to remove the part that holds the light sockets from the inside of the top? I need to remove that so I can pull out the electrical box and so I can pull out the rest of the wiring but I can't figure out where it is screwed in at.

Well the pics are rotated the right way on photobucket. I wonder if it takes time for it to make the change.

Your electrical box might have some nasty tar-like potting material in it. It's highly toxic. People melt it out, though, at their own risk to rewire the lighting manifolds. If the wiring inside is in good shape, I would probably just use the old wiring.

Wes Is it really that toxic? I did find that they used it to seal off the ends of the conduits and I just chipped it out and I think I got it all out. I am going to replace the wiring in there because the insulation was kind of dry and there was also a lot of water in the conduits and electrical boxes. The switch was also full of water and I think I should replace that too. Just got to figure out what kind will work for it.
