I have a British American Super Power gas globe - new out of the box - likely from the 30's or 40's. It was part of the inventory given to me by the garage owner in Canada after the death of the former owner. Any ideas about what it might be worth??

As Mick said. it is a Ballcrank body. Probably used more in Canada than the US. Body probably worth $300 and the lenses $250 to $300 so you are looking at least $550 to $600 for globe assuming everthing is in good condition.

Rare and hard to come by globe, even here in Canada. most people have never seen that set up for a body and lenses. body-400.00, lenses-400.00 each. nos add 200.00 = 1400.00 NOT A TYPICAL B/A GLOBE

Just because a globe was found in the box does NOT mean its nos...I can see in the picture the rust spot on the base where it was on a pump...B/A made about 30 different globes so what is a TYPICAL one?

when the orignator of this thead puts(I have a British American Super Power gas globe - new out of the box) it hints pretty strongly that it *might* be nos.since I have not had the globe in my hands i can not give it validation. Typical B/A globes are the ones that are copied. I know that globe will already bring 1000.00 garanteed

I think Bill was right on with his price break down assuming a globe collector is buying. If you're selling to a B/A collector it's likely worth more.

Wanted: Gas pump globes:Sinclair & affiliates, IL companies. Ripple bodies. Anything Sinclair, Stoll, Pierce, 4 Bros.

I agree with Bill also. Like Bob said it might be worth a little more to a B/A collector.
Does it say made in usa on bottom? I don't recall ever seeing that on a globe before.

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.
