Just curious as to how thick face (I think that's the correct term?)glass is. Would ad glass be the same thickness? I would think a guy could get an piece of something at a hardware store for less than ordering it through a catalog or on-line. Sorry Seth and others, just trying to keep costs down on this restoration so I can justify spending $150 on a white crown Chuck

Chuck, I cheated... Can I say that? I got a coulpe of old picture frames, took out the glass, and had a local shop snap them for me... Worked out fine.... PS... I had to so I could have the money for my 36b's....
Anything Chevron I'd rather be flying.....

Approx. 1/8", think they refer to it as double strength or double glaze. DB

Chuck, I always get "double strength" glass at my hardware store. It isn't that much more than "standard" window glass. I have even had the hardware store install if for me on pumps that only use the rubber seal to attach to the door. Brady
