Tulareone,

I was right beside you when you were buying that sign. It was the biggest I have ever seen.

I picked up two signs (one for me and one for my wife), a 1957 California license plate and two 1942 California license plate toppers. All items I too picked up for a song.

I have photos. I am pulling them off the camera now, and will post afterwards.

Mike

Hope you guys enjoy the photos I have posted. I don't know any of the buyers or the prices in case your interested.

Here are the two signs I picked up:

Marfak in this photo was for myself, and it was in incredible condition:

This one is for my wife's kitchen she is decorating in a 50's diner design, I cleaned it up when I got home and it turned out real nice:

No shortage of Bennett pumps. Great Hersheys sign, how much was it? Did many pumps change hands?

I Tulareone.....I guess you didn't know that the Turlock Swap Meet offers a shuttle service to the storage lot. The golf carts driving all over the place do it for you. You go with them to the lot, unload in to a pile marked yours and then head back to buy more. At the end, you drive your vehicle to the storage lot and pick up your stuff. They have security at the storage lot as well. You can't beat it!

Had a great time with Fred and Tom and my son. We got some killer stuff and Fred sold a ton of signs. Talked to a lot of oldgassers and rate this show right up there with the top swap meets. Lots of car stuff, gas stuff and overall weird stuff. A little cold for CA guys but NO RAIN. I actually sold some cylinder heads and a ton of Factory Repair Manuals.

Sounds like a great show, I have seen reference to this show on 3 different websites today, one being RatRod Bikes.com Everybody seemed happy with what they found. Looks like something for everyone.

Mike, we were along the fence by the RR tracks. Probably the only booth where the vendors were eating cracked crab with their "bullets". We sold about 60+ signs Fri. & Sat. I didn't really buy any "petro" so to spreak.. Did buy a load of Stromberg carbs, a SBC tri power set up & a factory Cadillac dual quad set up (expensive & heavy!!!!!!) Thanks for the photos!

Had a great time. Found a rare pump plate that I had been looking for - Douglas Aviation Tested. Enjoyed spending time with my Dad and enjoyed hanging out with Tom and Fred. You can learn a lot when hanging out with guys who have been in the hobby for so long.

6 ft signs & rare pump plates – Signal, Hancock, Mohawk, Polly, Flying A, Douglas, Richfield, PDQ, Stinker, Beeline, Neon , Dealership.

Jason, yeah, us old farts are great for info (when we can remember it..) Saw Frank Jones numerous times, his dad must've been minding the shop. Turlock Bob, Paul Mote, & a few other guys were in attendance; can hardly wait for our local Puyallup meets & then Portland!!
