Anyone know how to remove the stainless steel trim piece above the doors? Looks like some kind of clip behind them. Anyone have a picture of the tool or can describe it? Thanks, Mike

the stainless trim should be on the top of the pump, after removing the top, there are nuts on the inside that should come off, and the whole piece of trim should come right off, you should be able to pick up some clips. hope this helps

The clips you are talking about have a threaded stud welded to them. The studs stick through the top and have nuts on the inside of the top. Remove the nuts and the stainless trim can be removed. The clips can be rotated 90 degrees to remove them from the stainless trim.

Many times they are rusted out and junk. You may have to find an automotive type clip to put them back on. I have used double foam 1/4 inch tape on them also with the clips to help hold the trim off the top and give the doors a little more clearance.

Thanks for all the advice guy, I will try to take mine off and straighten and reassemble. If I cannot straighten I will be looking for a single trip piece and maybe some clips.
Thanks again
