For several months I was looking forward to going to Chip's Dixie Gas in TN today, Thursday. I woke up at midnight with a KILLER TOOTHACHE. I have never had a tooth pulled but let me tell you I had an abcessed wisdom tooth that turned me into a little girl. I went to my regular dentisit, he xrayed it and said "oh no, you've got to see an oral surgeon, I can't pull this nasty thing". To make a long story short, I'm going to have to hang around the ranch for the next few days. I was really looking forward to meeting some of you guys, buying some stuff and selling some of my oil cans.
Well, that's my luck!! There's always the fall show and I'll strive for that one.
To those who went to Chips, I hope you guys have the time of your life!
Take care, and sorry for the no show.
Sincerely,

Neal Dunn

JEEZ LOUISE, NEAL - SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR MISFORTUNE AND DISCOMFORT. I CAN SORTA RELATE SOMEWHAT TO THAT KILLER TOOTH PAIN ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO SOMETHING EVIL GOT INTO MY ENTIRE RIGHT SIDE UPPER AND LOWER AND JUST ACHED LIKE A BAD HEADACHE FOR ABOUT 3 DAYS. THE PAIN ENDED
& NEVER CAME BACK...SO FAR - SO GOOD! BUT FOR EVERYTHING THAT GOES WRONG...SOMETHING TWICE AS NICE WILL GO RIGHT!
HANG IN THERE MY FRIEND AND DON'T THINK ABOUT IT!

Jason here!!!!, But too late. I could have helped you Neal. Those suckers do hurt when they are abcessed. I get at least 2 or 3 of those abcessed wisdom teeth every Friday. Too bad we didn't live closer to each other. Hope you're healing well!!! ~Jason

Cloud nine has been "veddy veddy good to me!!" Thank you doctor, thank you Mr. Pharmacy, life since the extraction has been good! What did people with an abcessed tooth do in the old days, just die??
Thanks for all the support and nifty comments!
Sincerely,

Neal

Actually, sometimes they did die from a major head and neck infection. If they were crazy enough to go a dentist back in those days, they would get a bottle of whisky, drink until they didn't feel as much pain, and the dentist would get his forceps and go for it - screaming and all. No wonder why people are still afraid to go to the dentist. Thank God for local anesthetic or I wouldn't be in this profession. ~Jason
