Hi I have restored a few pumps over the last year , When I strip the paint off I like to leave the pitting in the sheet metal.Does that make the pump less valuable, If I were to sell it? Also what does it mean when someone advertises a pump as being profesionaly done

Yes it makes them less valuable. Why do you like to leave the pits easy? When these pumps where new they did not have painted over pits in the panels. Why should you pump with pits in the paint be worth as much as my pump where I spent hundreds on primer and paint and block sanding 20 ++ hours??????

Heck, the best thing is let em pit and paint em with a brush just like we did in the real gas stations. Otherwise you got a fantasy! Let the good time roll!
