Ok, here is where the majority of the problem is at.

Your first words to a reply were that you "are a paint expert". For starters, those are mighty big shoes to fill. Now, I dont know you, or your skills, but what I can tell you is that there are very few people that I would call and expert at something.

An expert is somebody that does not learn anything more on said subject, they are the best at what they do. I would say that less than .01% of people in the paint industry as a whole are paint experts, and very few of them work in shops. Like I said, I dont know you, maybe you are, but usually the people who self proclaim that they are "the man" usually are not. But then again, I could be completely wrong. It wouldnt be the first time, LOL.

As far as some of the other things we are going back and forth on. You have your opinion, I have mine.

WOW thank you for all your information, it really does help. I was thinking there was just some paint number you could take in and it was the correct color for that stile of pump. I think I will get the globe and the decals first and see what they look like. One of my doors has really good paint on the inside, so I am going to palish it up and take it in to get the match numbers off it before I sand it down. Then I will compare that with the globe and decals whenever I get them. Thanks for all the info It really helps.Evedog

Sounds like a good plan to me, Evedog.

Sorry that things got off topic. Kinda like you came in for a haircut and we did brain surgery instead. LOL
