Thanks for the link and thanks for the welcome ! I'm trying to verify pieces that I have as to thier actual use. I have seen pictures, although very obscured ones, that show a Ford Service station and pump with Ford logos on the globes. The pieces I have are cast aluminum letters (12" high)on a made up base that read "FORD GAS" I'm trying to confirm or refute the use of these. The type face used is of the type probably used in the late 40's or 50 Block not the earlier script Ford used for almost everything

Probably not used by Ford Motor Company but by an independent station. Ford Motor Company did have some service stations but I believe only around the Detroit, Michigan area and they marketed their gas as Ford Benzol not Ford Gas.
Drive with Care and Buy Sinclair!! I buy Sinclair globes, signs, cans, ect.
