I was complaining about gas prices just yesterday.

When I started driving in 1969, local gas was around .35 (Hi-test Premium) a gallon if I remember correctly. When there was a "gas war" the price could go down to less than .25 a gallon. Commercials were made, where a group of kids would roll up to a station and get less than $1 worth of gas and cruise "the gut" all night long and still leave the kids with enough money to get food and drinks at the local drive-in.

Now gas is $3.87 (I got it for $3.67, because of where I buy groceries).

To fill my '65 Mustang 2+2 back in '69 - $5.60, to fill my '03 Subaru Baja in 2011 - $58.72

I want my youth back! Keep my cell phone, my PC, my CD and DVD players, even my Subie..... Give me back the 'stang and .35 per gallon gas......... Please...........

@ $40,000 will still take a LONG time to save enough to pay for it in gas savings!
Gasoline/diesel is Still cheaper than Bottle Water/Soda Pop.
Just start walking!

It's going up every day..they've tore down most of the gas stations so you have to wait in line to pay top dollar-
The oil companies got it all figured out

Nat gas cars are big in Pa. A buddy even switched his Harley. My brother is doing all his company trucks, so they run on both.

What you are all missing is the number in the middle of that sign. The $.07 taxes is 45% of the total price. I don't know what the precent is today, but for years our legislators have found it easy to enact taxes that they can add to our gas prices.

Also, since over 50% of the oil that we use here in the U.S. comes from Canada, why does the price of gasoline go up every time something happens in the mid-east? Also, since they don't have to bring that oil from Canada to the U.S. by ship, shouldn't that have some effect on the prices?

Nobody wants to answer our questions.
