Cool old station/garage that sold Gilmore as well as many other brands through the years. Still exists and is now a french restaurant.

Man, that's a cool place - is the tree still there or was it chopped?

Unfortunately, the tree is no longer there. Here's the history page on the restaurant's website...

http://www.lechene.com/about/history

Quote:
As an eye-catching feature, they incorporated the large oak tree that used to shade the old refreshment stand into the front stone wall of the new building. It stood majestically between the garage on the right, and the new cafe on the left. A drinking fountain was installed at the base of this signature oak tree. Unfortunately, this oak was damaged by a truck in the 1960’s and did not survive. It remained standing as a dead trunk until the end of 1980, when the last remnants were finally removed.

What brand is that visible pump with the diamond shape next to the Gilmore?

Both are Gilmore- the first/closest one is Blu-Green and the next one with the "Roar with Gilmore" globe is most likely Red Lion. Is that what you were asking, Craig?

There are only three pumps though ! The Gilmore on the left side and the one next to it is the one I am referring to.

Sorry, I was referring to post # 255465 & now I'm guessing Craig is asking about 2nd picture in Post # 255657.
