I have been following pump prices on ebay for about a month and they seem to be down. Maybe it's just the time of year with everybody busy and more things to think about than buying old gas pumps. Or is it the economy pickin on the old gassers? I got a real nice Wayne 60 today off ebay for less than $1000 and there are several others below value on there now.

I think pump prices are going the way of everything else (globes, signs, etc). Ultra rare, desireable, complete pumps continue to surpass estimates and expectations. While the common or less desireable go down or level in value. Think of a GB176 as a Skelly globe, a Roman as a Musgo globe and a Wayne 60 as a Sinclair one piece.
Collect small Oklahoma Oil Co.'s 1920's-1940's. Barnsdall, Cushing, Eason, Marland, etc.

In my area the past few months prices on common pumps have been up. Maybe they will start a down slide here also. Richard

The keyword is EBAY. Pump prices, from my point of view, have always been soft on ebay. Blame it on difficulty & fear of shipping & logistics, or maybe the "buyer beware" cultural on there. Look at it more as a buyer's market, in lieu of a seller's. It's actually the last place I would try and sell one. I feel like I can give a pretty good guage of where prices are retail-wise, simply because that IS in fact what we do on a daily basis. In no particular order, here are the models & prices of the last few pumps we've sold:
1)GB 96C Restored $2800 2)Tall Tokheim 39 Restored $2900 3)Tokheim 36B Restored (PREMIUM RESTO, BASE-CLEAR, Tri-Toned, Lots Of Brite-Work)$5000 4)Rush Model K Restored $3800 5)Bennett 150 Unrestored $1900 6)Aqua Clockface Unrestored $1700 7)MS 80 Unrestored $550 8)Tok 39 Mid-Size Unrestored $650 9)Wayne 60 Unrestored, needed both hips & front doors replaced, pretty rough $950
Nearly ALL of those then had to be crated & freighted, sometimes to the tune of $300-$600. If anything, I think prices are flat, not really going up or down.

I'm with Seth.....last few sales I've been to have seen some strong pump prices so I'd say the desire is still there and we'll all sleep better tonite for it.
Saw two Wayne Cut 615 visibles, fair condition needed completely re-done, had amateur paint jobs but solid glass, go for $2900 and the second one go for $3000. Interest was pretty hot.
Brother-in-law goes to each and every Pomona, California swap meet and he said petroliana stuff changes hands real fast out there at preemo prices.

Hi Mick, you can thank my wife that you got it for that and/or did not have to pay more, ha. I was not crazy about his pictures and would have liked to see the back, plus I did not know what was going on with the left side being sprung or whatever? Probably fine, looks like a very nice pump but I sweat when I think about $1000+ for a pump even if it's "worth" more.

just finished a 6 day run on ebay for 2 mae west 117's that I have had for years. I live about half way between dallas and oklahoma city, no takers at 1250.00. Each missing cylinder, 1 door, 1 missing a globe top. I hope I live long enough to restore 1 so I was selling choice of each. My grandson is 8 years old and kind of into pumps so some day they will be his, and I know can almost guarantee when he is 21 he will enjoy a nice profit.
