differencies in colors may be due to when the signs were released. IMO there is more than 30 years between your signs and Doc's

I have some Firestone Signs, but still missing many versions. I had about 10 50-60's signs but have sold them off except one vertical bow tie. There are a lot of different signs(many porcelain and tin ones with individual garage names) Most of the stuff I have is 20's-40's. The two pictures you have are nice signs and I hope to get the flange sign very soon. Here are some of them..enjoy:

This sign was local...... from the next town over.
"CENTRAL SERVICE STATION" was the name of the station... as it was on the North Central Highway.

Are you sure this sign is porcelain? I have never seen this sign made of porcelain only sst and dst. I would say its from the late 50's-60's. Early 50's and late 40's versions were orange and blue(and made of tin).

That "Gum Dipped" is a totally handsome sign and the Ford attachment puts it over the top!

The Firestone bases are hard to find by themselves. Is that sign in the middle original? I have never seen one that size or version. I did see someone reproduce a look a like curb sign in a different size. The other two you have look to be in very nice shape!

The firestone with ford is a great looking sign!

The repro one I saw was made out of tin. I do remember seeing that version now a while back( I did not think they were that much smaller then the other versions. I think you are only missing one more curb sign(or at least I am only aware of one missing).

Yes the ford sign came with the firestone sign ,it was inside an awning in the front of an old ford dealership and was covered over for years when it was found that way.

Since this is an old thread these are the signs I have acquired since my last posts:

I bought a complete curb sign a while back. For some reason on this curb sign the bracket was welded around the sign. I wanted to retain the original bracket and upgrade the sign. I managed to remove the old sign with no damage and re-weld the bracket around this sign to give it the nice original look with the pole and base.

This one is about 5 feet wide. One of my favorite signs. I traced it back to a George Eberlin from Missouri. I'll take some pics of my other Firestone signs tomorrow and put them up.
