Yale Oil operated a refinery in Billings MT from 1930 until around 1945-46 when Carter Oil bought it. Carter (a Standard of New Jersey company) moved the refinery to Lockwood where it is still in operation today. Was Carter a mainly West Coast - Rockies market brand for Standard of NJ? I have seen some of there highway maps, but I cannot find much history on them. Thanks. Brian G.
