Hello, I am just starting on a recently acquired Wayne 60. This pump was gutted when I got it and appears to have had a minor restoration some time ago.
This is my first experience with a 60 so please excuse my lack of knowledge.
This pump has sheet metal panels on the front and rear bottom (below the computer windows) which are screwed to the frame. So far, every photo I can find online appears to have the same sheetmetal panels BUT inside there are hinges that are just hanging (they look similar to 70 hinges). The setup with the hinge, clevis pins and ears punched into the frame look like the 70 arrangement BUT for what ?
Was there a swinging door setup for the 60 ?
Is this pump a hybrid or a hack ?
Thanks in advance.

Some 60'so have hinged doors. They do repop the hinges, but I don't know of anyone making the doors. Richard

I believe that Ron Scobie repops the hinged doors. The hinged Wayne 60 pumps should have a hole in the frame rail opposite the hinges for the lock.

There is a hole for the lock.
Should I restore this with doors or leave as is with the sheet metal panels?

You can do it either way. I prefer the doors with the "church keys" over the hinged doors. But you would have to fill the lock holes. I would probably keep the hinged doors if it were me.
