always lookin , how did you make out using the goof off on your sign? Can you post a pic? I've got the same problem with an Orange Crush push bar (not porcelain) with several coats of house paint on it.I've tested some enviro freindly stuff that still lifted the orange paint!! Thanks Dave

"Goof OFF works the best, for this sign, with lots of work. The problem with Citristrip is it removes the white in the original sign, while the red and green are ok.
Yes both are Wolfs Head signs that go in the lollipop type frames. Anyone want the 1 I didn't mess with? 20 bucks plus shipping. I don't have the patients"
^^Thats a repost from the previous page, both signs are will be swimming to their new owner in MA.

WELL, got the signs by UPS today at 10 a.m., here is what they looked like when I openedthe box, (great packaging by the way Bill)

Here it is, 10:30 and I worked 1 side, locked up the garage, took pictures, downloaded them, then waited 10 minutes to upload them to photobucket. The missing paint is how I got it, Bill did that part, Not bad for 15 minutes work.

I think I'll go to work and make some money, can't wait to see what a little time spent on them will result in. Oh Bill, did you know there are 2 different styles of signs under the paint?

I'm done, even had time to repair a Boiler and change out a Hot Water heater today and still got these two signs to look presentable, all before 4 p.m.
I'm a little bummed out, was hoping to make a pair of hot rod fenders but the 2 signs were different.

Sure wish I had that Husky sign.

I think the older signs hold up better, when being stripped. The one that looks the best is mid 60s... The one I had problems with is 1970s, I bet
