Hello guys, I want to share with you our latest project. I discovered your website many years ago (2002-2003?) and had many hours of pleasure looking at the great stuff from your collections that you share on the forum. Over here in Europe is not that easy to find good old gas station stuff... So I decided to build 'em my own.

Back then I wanted to build a real scale replica of a Tok 39. Finally a few months ago I build a 1/16 scale replica which I shared with you on this post.

This summer, my brother and I build this Texaco Gas Station diorama. I hope I can give you back a few moments of pleasure watching this pics as I had watching your posts as a very passive visitor. I had not so much to share back then but I learned SO MUCH from your forum. Thanks!

I know that the pumps are not correctly located and many details are still missing such as oil cans, counter inside the shop, the garage equipment, etc. I'll be building that stuff soon.

We put a lot of work into it, I hope you like it!
On our blog you can see more pics and read more about it.
Enjoy!

Seb

This is the original picture that used as example:

Here one pic of the building process:

Here you see a night scene picture. The gas station has a complete electrical installation with light bulbs in every room and outside.

Here a few pictures of the outdoor photo shooting session in Switzerland:

The Texaco diorama is just wonderful, both the model and the photography. I put a link to Seb's ModelJunkYard blog on the Oldgas.com Primarily Petroliana Facebook page:

Hello guys! Thank you all for your positive feedback! It was a lot of work, but it was worth it. As I said, many details had to be finished yet (oil cans, etc). I'll keep you posted.

@Nucky: The model is primarily made out of styrene plastic (walls) and cardboard (pavement). I see you are not so far away from were I live. I'm planing to exhibit my model at the Autotron Fair on November 19-20th in The Netherlands. It's not confirmed yet, just keep an eye on my blog. If we go we'll announce it there.

Here one more pic with sunset sun light:
