The threads on my pump shaft are rusted and worn. I was wondering if anyone has tried to re-cut them with a die. They also rusted bad enought to split the brass collar that compresses the spring. Would anyone have a spare one for sale?

Thanks

I'd take the pump, after a good sandblasting, to a machine shop and have them recut the threads. The brass collar could be soldered if done carefully and care was taken to protect the interior threads. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

You can take the threads and clean them up with a thread file.
