Based on the font and saying I would not think it is Indian Refining even though Burdick made most of their signs.

Based on the Font of the NO Smoking & the Saying on the Havoling oil can sign is what made me think that this sign could possibly be Indian Ref.. doesn't pure signs use a lighter blue?

I am not a pure person but I believe they used a dark blue on some of their signs. I remember seeing an oil rack with the dark blue signs. I remeber seeing that saying "In sealed cans for your protection" on some old havoline cans I have. The font of the sign you have is what makes me think that its not Havoline/Indian Refining.

I think the font is quite similar to that on the bottom of the Havoline No Smoking sign.

The sign is part of a two piece Tiolene oil bottle rack. The sign makers used fonts that were duplicated on many signs. If you look at most of the 30" signs, the word Gasoline looks almost the same on all the various brands.

...send it down here, we like'em just fine! and it is absolutely, positively off a Pure Oil Tiolene oil rack...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
