Hello again, I have another sign question for you all. When I was younger I found a sunoco sign in my great grandmothers garage. Seems my great grandfather kept it to use as roof patch, thank God I found it first. Anyway, the sign reads "Sunoils (in red diamond) Sonoco the distilled oil" It is a flange sign and made of HEAVY porcelain. It was shot once in the past and the bullet is sitill lodged in the metal. My questions are 1) when was this brand/sign used? (theres no date on the sign) 2) are these signs not common to the south? ( Ive never seen one at a gas show, pump parts store, or in a private collection. I am sorry that I cannot post a picture. the sign is at my parents house so I am far away. Thankyou in advance for any help.
