Well, her is my Esso Truck.. Came from a closed Esso station about 10miles from my place. It is sitting 30ft from me now about 1/2 restored. All original paint staying of course. Just cool to see stuff like this is still out there hiding in garages... Good luck in the search
PAY IT FORWARD......

Wow!!!!! Your my new hero! That truck is bitchin!!!
Please, for the love of god, don't change the patina, resist all urges to "restore" it. If you ever get the urge, call me and let me talk you out of it!!!
Great find!,,,

Did they rent Uhauls? There was a station near me that had a 37 chev painted the same with a mini uhaul trailer on the roof, I tried to buy it from 74 to 80 when it disappeared. Killer truck, don't change a thing.

You are one lucky dude!!!!! That truck is killer!!The only changes I would make to that truck is a front bumper that would match the patina of the truck and get someone who knows what they are doing to replicate the Esso sign on the driver door!Congratulations on that find you did good.It dont get any better than that,Classic American Iron and petroliana!!!!!!!

Sweet truck, don't let anyone talk you into changing the front bumper. That is how you made a push truck in the 40's and 50's. Take the front bumper off and find the biggest plank you could put on it so you could push any size auto with out doing damage to the car. My credentials; worked in a wrecking yard from 1950 to 1956.
