I might be able to identify the mfg. if you would supply better pictures of the pump on the top. Don't need pics of the tank, they all look alike.
A number of this type of equipment (oil dispensers, not lubsters) were shown in my first Gas Pump Identification book, but I pulled them from the revised edition, to make room for gas pumps, which was the original purpose of the book.

I picked up this lubester at Hershey and was wondering if anybody had any info on it? It was Bowser, primarily, that used riveted tanks. However, anybody could have made that tank and put that pump on it. That looks like my Tokheim dispenser, out in my yard. The pump unit, appears to be the same as used on the 207, 208, 132, and even the 140, all on page 273 of Jacks first book, all dated circa 1920. I'd need to see another pic, shot from the front of the tank, to be sure.

On second thought... My Tokheim looks a bit different. I'd still like to see more pics. After another look, it looks like a Bowser pump. More pics please...

For information purposed only:
Almost every company that was making this type of equipment was using rivited tanks.
Yes, it does look like a Tokheim, my requrest for a better picture was so I could identify what Cut number it was, so I would be able to supply the approximate year of mfg.
At the time this type of equipment was being made, very few companies put the Cut/Figure/Model number on the ID tag, so the info. on the ID tag doesn't help to identify the unit, this is why those of us who have original literature need to see a better picture of the unit. Comparing it to something that someone has is not the way to identify something this old, having 41 files drawers of original gas pump, etc. literature is the way to identify the unit.

I will try and get some more pics this weekend. The pump itself has no tag on it. What was the part just to the left of the pump in the second pic used for?

Bowser Oil/Kerosene Pump & Tank. Item in 2nd pic question [round item w/ 3 sided pyramid shape] held the wooden meas. stick. Should be a float inside tank w/ a metal rod attached to top of float & a small sq ring attached to top of rod to show how much liquid was still in tank. Lubester[s] is a very loosely used Generic name used by most to describe all Oil dispensing pumps. These are REAL LUBE-STERS;
