I need to buy a bunch of the slotted pan head screws in 1/4 inch fine thread...anyone have a store they know has some....i have been to a bunch that think they do but when we look all they usually have is the philip's head type...thx mm

I've been running around looking for the same thing for the old Chev. the phillips aren't right as they didn't exist then- when found PLEASE POST..

if fastenall doesn't have them, try gardner-westcott. they are a little pricey on some stuff, but as a last resort, always seem to have what i need.

Its spelled FASTENAL and you can get them in regular stee, stainless, or brass! Best shop in the world for fasteners. If they don't have it, they will find it for you. Check for the store nearest you, or order online!

Just a point of interest.....check out the history of phillips head screws. Henry Ford wanted to use them in the Twenties but was unable to aquire a license. It seems that the auto industry had pretty much converted to it's use by 1940 for the obvious reason of self alignment allowing for more speed on the assembly line. McMaster Carr also caries alot of bolts and other odd items that are sometimes hard to find. They have alot of neat stuff in there book(catalog). I order online thru them alot.

went to FASTENAL yesterday (based out of Minnesota)
they ordered what I needed (out of Indiana)
will have in a week- nice people & reasonable..
