Found another spark plug cleaner on Saturday and then called a guy I knew that had a clock that is going to look great hanging over it. What are your opinions on repainting the clock? Boy I feel like a champion today...sorry I couldn't resist

Black hammertone spray paint would give it that antique looking finish and really make the clock look a lot better! You could clean and polish the lens at the same time.

thanks KW. I kind of figured I would do something like that. With the original paint being so bad it needs it. The lens is going to clean up great and the discolored face gives it a great look I think.

The clock is an old clock that someone put a new decal on. There is a snake that is doing this frequently in North Jersey to clocks, thermometers, etc. He puts laser copy stickers or decals on old generic items and consigns the phony pieces to local auctions.
Looking for photos, etc from 60s era Shell-A-Rama gas station and Pal's Diner, Rt. 17 Mahwah, NJ & US or state highway signs, shields, route markers

Reproduction clocks are a big problem in a lot of collecting areas. The ones I have seen often have a paper face that is added over the original face. You will need to take it apart to see this

Finally got off the road from my Hershey trip. nearly 3 weeks and over 2,500 miles in the truck! but well worth it...Hershey was a blast. Finally met a bunch of guys that i've known here for a long time, but never met in person. great time. did a bunch of selling, buying, trading and drinking (mostly with Wes)! and raided 2 different collections. 1 on the way there, and one on the way home. below is what i got....chuck Uploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.us
