I have ran across about 5 or 6 of the old banjo style poles. They are minus the hanger for the sign but the rest of the pole is complete. What are these worth and can I find a ring for the sign?

Thanks, Phil

Thanks, Phil

Phil:

Some will disagree here, but the pole and hanger will go anywhere from, $300.00 - $1000.00 on ebay. I've been looking for a deal and close to home for years now Phil. But without the hanger I won't touch one and i think most people would think the same ? Unless you could fab one up. Just my nickels worth.

I agree with Doug. But, then again, yesterday I saw a Texaco banjo sign in the hanger, but no pole. But, complete is better.

I have a friend that works with metal and showed him a ring for a 42" sign. He says he knows a sheet metal shop that can make one easily. I can get the poles for $200, does that make it a more inviting deal?

Thanks, Phil

Thanks, Phil

Phil: You didn't give us the whole story (LOL) If the shop cn make them for a reasonable price then $200 is a fair price. Bur will they make the riing so it has the wiring conduit etc so it looks authenticate? Look onebay, there are Texaco sign poles on there quite often.

Phil:

$200.00 in my book is a steal... How much is your buddy going to charge you for the hanger ? See what happens, maybe i'd like one if your friend can produce more than one hanger for you.

Good Luck with it.

Doug
