Don't like to be answer questions like that, too many guys have found something wrong with my opinions.

Pogo, remind me when you began making these globes and I will supply you copies of the two globes shown in 1917 Guarantee Liquid Measure catalog.

Here's the one I have. Not much original paint, but as I said before, it had green lenses w/ white outline around the punched letters.

Now thats a globe. No computor generated letters there. Reproduce that one for $185. You just cannot beat the originals. That would look good an any visable. JMHO Mitch

"Honest discussion is the currency of Democracy"
Show me the "fix". I am open to suggestions. I just used a font in Print Shop called Annual Extended Bold and warped it inside a circle. I shortened the two parts of the "G" in order to get "asoline" inside the G. It is rough just to get a direction. The finished product would be "clean". Am I on the right track ? Two steps forward and one step backward is still progress. It does look like I generated some interest...I appreciate the feedback from all of you...

Thanks for the pictures!
Are they "catseyes"? Way too cool.It might not be too difficult if you could locate of some of the "catseyes" and would be fun to give it a shot...but would be time consuming until you worked out the kinks.

How about spelling it "Gasolene?" In 1917 they were still using both spellings.
