Chris:

Your best bet with the old signs is to take one to your local paint store and have them match the orange for you. Old porcelain can and does fade somewhat in the elements and just buying a 'standard' Gulf color will not match when you get it on the sign.

There is a fellow in Belding Michigan by the name of kevin Barnes that does fantastic sign restoration. I've been to his shop and his work is top-notch. The signs look brand new when he gets through with them. If anyone needs his phone number, shoot me an e-mail and I will furnish it.

Later . . .

Jim
