Post a picture of your Bennett 76.

I just bought a Bennett 76 in fantastic condition from DIESEL. I'm not sure what to brand it. Place a picture of your Bennett 76 and share with others. I'd like to see what others have done with their 76. Thanks.

Here is a 76 I bought a few months ago from a fellow oldgasser done in DX. I am pretty sure that it is the same pump that is on the opening page of oldgas.com. I guess I need to ask him next time I see him where pump originally came from.

Yes, that would be helpful. LOL I'll have a pic for you tomorrow. Thanks to all who submitted photos. If you're not a "purist," these 76s can be painted to look great. For that matter, I don't see how a 76 can look bad. The pump I have in the raw looks super! I'll be sure to post a pic.

This was the second pump I ever owned. I wish I had before photos. This pump was laying in a farmer's field and the cows used it to scratch their necks. It was caked with mud inside and out and was it ever heavy to lift. When I got it home I thought it was going to be a parts pump. but, two side skins and a couple of rails and face plates, one bezel and a whole lot of cleaning....Voilla. Best $125 I ever spent. Even though it is the Standard Oil version of the 76, I saw one in a pump restoration and like the looks of it. Even though I am not a Sky Chief silver fan...a guy has to stay loyal to his brand.

Here's the photos of my recent find as promised. Notice the Phillips ad glass that came with it. I placed the Mobilgas globe on top for the heck of it.

Alex,

That's an all original 1972 Pontiac LeMans, 350, auto, black vinyl top, black interior. The car hasn't been messed with. Wins at car shows every time. I have my eye on something else and am thinking about letting her go to a good home. We're not supposed to buy/sell on this forum, but you can PM me.

Stan

Nice pumps. So are the 76 tops as valuable as the 36B tops?
