I Have gotten a new Lubester. i decided do it as a Tydol to go with the Veedol I have. What are the colores for Tydol?? I have a Tydol globe but was wondering what colors the Lubester should be.

Anyone have any photo's of one done??

This is the one I am doing and the one I have.

Thanks!!!

Rob, are you thinking of wrapping it in the colors and logo of the Tidewater-Associated Oil Company (West Coast) or Tide Water Oil Company (East Coast)?

If I remember correctly; West Coast colors: Red and cream, Red and Green or Red and White would be correct depending on the time period... Red and Cream 1930s. Red and Green early 1940 to early 50s. Red and White mid 50s to 1966.

Here is a photo of the station in Gladstone with the dispenser painted in the red and green version....

Now, painted with the red and cream colors....

This last photo doesn't show the pumps, but I've always loved the "motif".

Since I did the red and green on my Veedol, I wanted the Tydol to be different. All my stuff is late 40's. Maybe I will do the red and cream to make it different.

When I was at Gladstone Flying A last week I looked at Darrell's Lubester and thought about the triangle pattern he did, but now I am not sure.

I LOVE the Flying A with the plane on top!!! Reminds me of the Bomber station down the street from me.
