I have been offered a Pan Am Motor Oil sign. It is the 30 inch double sided porcelain with "Stand Up Under Fire". The problem with the sign is the condition. Only one side is worth displaying. The reverse is rough and for that matter the "good" side has issues. . .pops and fading. I have seen cleaner examples bring strong prices. Is this sign desirable or worth the investment in this condition?
Thanks for your help.

The guys are right, a not too common sign. And one that is very desirable. IMO

I chase grade pretty hard. But I've got a couple of signs on display in worse shape than that one in the shop.I just say "the best grade available"and put them up.I'm with the rest of the guys;Buy it if you can afford it.Don't let the grade stop you IMO.
