Hello, I need some expert advice on my photo with Covey/Mobile globes. I am now sure upon close examination that the pump on the right has a Covey Gasoline globe because I can see the uplifted tail fin in the globe in the photo so it is not the long sleek car. The left one looks to be a Mobile Ethyl or I could be wrong and it is a Covey Ethyl. Wouldn't it be weird for the station to have the globes that way? A Covey and a Mobile? Help I have a brain cramp. Any help greatly appreciated. Utahbob

I have pictures of stations that sold gasoline from many companies, Texaco pumps next to Mobil pumps, next to whatever. It was not uncommon for stations to sell gasoline from more than one distributor.

COVEY & MOBILE were products of the same company....Larco. The Little America Refining Company, WYOMING.

Sinclair bought them out in 1955.

Thanks for the info Doc & Jim. Very much appreciated! Glad to get that cleared up. Are these lens/globes super rare? Have they be be reproduced? Thanks. Utahbob
