Its been way to long since we had a Globe of the Month feature! It is time to start up again! One of the posts I really enjoy is Doc's favorite buys of the year. We are going to expand on that and lets see ALL your globe purchases for 2011. Any globe collector that I know enjoys looking at globe photos so lets see yours, the good, the bad, the ugly, lets see them all.
I'll start with a few of ours. It was a good year for adding to our oval globe collection. The Gargoyle is the uncommon baked version. On most Gargoyle globes the black portions of the Gargoyle are raised and part of the casting of the glass. On this one the Gargoyle is just painted on and baked. It also has the correct tall collar that Mobil used on their Gargoyle oil cabinet globes.
Lets see your globe purchases of the past year.
Thanks!
Lonnie & Aaron
