Was starting to come down with hillsideshotleg cabin fever, so I decided to head out just junkin in search of some Vintage items, signs i like & something different to look at.
Loaded up some stuff I thought I might be able to trade with. Threw all the tbuckles I could find, behind the seat, threw in a few cartons of cig31 [ can't drive for long hours w/o my cig's]!
Before starting out on a long Lost Highway, I had talked to frankpl he recommended I clean the oldiron dirty Oldgas out of gas tank & start with fresh GASandOIL. Stopped in at MetroPetro & cause I'm oldnfuelish I filled the roadrelics Old Dodge w/ souperhigh puregas instead of pumpingethyl, didn't want to take a chance with using hotcider Hy-Flash [Remember, I ain't driving a roger cherry st.rod]!.
Stopped at GaspumpRob's to load up some oranges & avocados [never know when I'll get hungry], then stopped at Dave's Garage Kwick Stop to fill the cooler, so I grabber the Nicole colas & bruzer75s [cheap beer] that are on sale [in case I stop at Thunder 11, he's always finishing his last one when I get there!]. Also picked up a hitch hiker that sure looks like philmccualy so Hopefuly the racecop doesn't ticket me for driving in the Car Pool Lane. Then pulled into HoneyBearFarm to load up some of that Famous Honey [gotta have something to give the wives when I show up UN-announced @ dinner time!].
With a roll of the dice, decided to head for SD 101, as I neared Red Randsberg, there was a detour as they weren't dundign with a Big Block Cat a large pipeline across the highway. At the firstturn I seen a large sign harleysandpumps, made a quick left turn into parking lot, had to be quick as there was a gasahuler stuck in LOWright coming down grade with a Long line of cars stacked up behind him. Sure looked like Bob Richards driving that rig when he flipped me off for not using a turn signal. OMG, he sure LOVES that AIR HORN! LOL
1st sign I spotted as I walked up to building was a Veedol AL1 [looked like the same one that those tennesseepickers showed on their TV Show last week]. Inside was a really nice Houston Gasoline sign w/ a HIGH $$$$$ price tag. Laying on the counter next to cash register was a large stack of POGO GAS Lake Monster Bumper Snickers. I asked where he picked them up? He said a guy and his wife had done some trading for stuff last year after a delivery. Didn't see anything else.
It's been a long day so back on the road looking for a Rest Stop Area, I'm too cheap to waste money on a motel!

It's been a long day so back on the road looking for a Rest Stop Area, I'm too cheap to waste money on a motel! That's the way I usually travel. I've stayed at Motel Ford quite a few nights. The F-150 sleeps a little better than the Mustang !

Woke 'cause of the aches and pains of middle age after a too long hilly hike 10 hours ago. Leave it to DB to put a smile into my little pity party... Scott, it's time for you to go nighty night...

DB, that's very creative and your keen sense of humor is as sharp as ever. Would take me hours if not days to pen something like that.

DB, That's some good stuff! I would like to see you incorporate your name in there somewhere. LOL Can't wait for the next chapter!

Great little short story - I couldn't come up with that, if I worked all day on it!
