Does anyone have one of these galvanized brackets that could tell me how the horizontal pieces are attached to the vertical plate. Is it riveted or spot welded and what gauge the metal is. I saw one of these sell last year and it had brackets to attach to a pole also. I bought a NOS sign and need to make a holder for it.

Finally made a bracket for my sign. I tried using the cold galvanizing paint and it looked like flat primer, so I gave it a coat of clear. The clear coat darkened it up a little. I did send a picture of my bracket to a galvanizing shop and they quoted a minimum of $50 and I figured with shipping both ways I was looking at $100 or so.

Nice job! Did you consider using silver "Hammer-tone" paint? It looks kinda like galvanizing.

I'll keep that it mind for the next sign hanger project. I want to buy or make a scroll bender, I have a few double sided signs that need hangers.
