I have a Red Indian Auto oil sign. I can find no information about it doing an online search. All that comes up is "Red Indian Motor Oil". It is a vintage sign as far as I can tell. I pulled it out of a barn almost 25 years ago. If anyone has any background information on this I would appriciate it. I have posted these pictures. Thanks in advance

Quick google search turned up the same, but it speaks about McCoil-Anderson oil co.was formed in 1873 was in business till 1941 when they were replaced by the Texaco name and its Sky Chief products. Was formed in Toronto,Ontario. Makes sense that they would later print a sign that said Auto, as the auto became means of getting around. From the logo I think you are looking at one in the same.

...looks to me like an early tin flange sign, flattened out...and VERY valuable, even with the wear...I've never seen one...
