I got a Tokheim 39 short out of a phosphate building a few years ago, and I'm finally getting around to restoring it. I'm finally getting into the nitty gritty of what I need to do/get. Here's the part I don't get....how do the non-hinge doors attach? I see the lock at the bottom secures it low....but does it tuck into something at the top? How does it stay up? The doors were off of it when I found it, so I have nothing to compare it to. Any help would be appreciated. Oh, and I TOTALLY get how this gets addictive. I'm already eye-balling a soda machine to restore after the pump! Thanks!

The doors tuck under the top trim and secure with the lock at the bottom.

By "top trim" do you mean the silver piece that attaches to the front of the dome of the pump? That might explain why I can't visualize it....since some schmuck ripped that trim off before I got to it.

I've attached a photo's of a Tokheim 39 that I restored. The door tucks underneath the Stainless steel trim at the top. The door is secured to the pump by the lock cylinder at the bottom of the door. When the lock is activated/turned the cam on the lock cylinder latches the door to the base as seen in the photograph with the door removed.

MUCH appreciated guys! I found the trim and saw where it was cupped out at the bottom...and the door slid right in. Thanks a bunch!
