Sorry not the 1880s. The earlier ones are the tall case and they are around turn of century and can climb to $10,000. I had a tall case, top missing and beat up on the top and sold it for $3800 when economy was good. One like this went on ebay, did not sell and ended up about $690, I think he relisted it

This is unrestored. That one was repainted on ebay. This porcelain is original.
The Yellow Kid was the name of a lead comic strip character that ran from 1895 to 1898 in Joseph Pulitzer's, New York World.
I meant late 1800s... an original blue one has no writing on the side.

This blue Pulver is a good color to have and this short case lithographed yellow kid Pulver was produced probably up until 1950. The taller case machines are older and more valuable. There are many vending machine collectors that can provide more detailed info. Also check the book "Silent Salesmen Too" by Bill Enes. Dave Jones

I can probably get a key. John Guisti had all the Pulver keys. I believe that he is deceased now, but someone has them also. They are a simple affair and the mechanism is wound by a clock key.

Thanks for the info. I have a key coming. It has not been wound in 30 yrs. It still works though. The 92 yr old I bought lots of stuff from, said he never had a key and it may have never had gum in it. Here is the store it came from, as did the stuff I posted last week and all the stuff I will post this Sunday....if I can wait that long...:)

No and he has not found that sign yet.
Here is the stuff from this country store/sinclair station, I bought last week when I was there. He did not want to sell anything else last week. TODAY he wanted it all gone. Go figure.

Looks like mostly 1960s stuff except for the Hires Root beer sign which may be 30s or 40s, But still a decent find. Where is all the Sinclair stuff ?

All that was left was an HC 42' sign. I am stripping the paint off now. Check petro discussion. I did get more soda, and thermometers today I will post on sunday.
