Awesome video; love the show and I definitely was born in the wrong era... wouldn't it be great to live in a small town like Mayberry in the 40's and 50's.

I just spent yesterday afternoon with my goober friend. He used to run the Frontier station that I and my high school friends hung out at. He ran two stations for about ten years just like in the video. He is 84, his wife 85 and I'm 74 our health was talked about and the good old days. How we hooked up the spark plug testor to the pop machine and shocked anyone that sat on it. How my boss bought a new 1951 Ford for $2100 and how proud he was of it. My dog liked to come over from our house and pee on the hubcaps until we hooked the spark plug testor up to it. That was the last time the dog did that. He still has the testor and the pop machine out in his shed. I told him that next summer when its warmer and he could get out I would come over and give him some prices on some of the stuff that he still haves. This is so nobody can shaft him seeing as how it it getting time for both of us to start thinking about what we are going to do with what we have. By the way he has a son-in-law who is a collector. I hope we are all still here this summer. Mitch

When I was in the Army in 1956, at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, I met a married a girl who was from about 30 miles south of Ft. Wood. Her family still lived there, just off the junction of two dirt roads. There was a general store at the junction, and we used to stop there to buy gas. It was from a visible pump. Never did find out what happened to that pump, I walked every ditch withing a mile of the store.

Just for informational purposes only:
The pumps are Wayne 90 with the high top ad glass panels.
The air meters are ECO, Model 244AW. Meaning AIR AND WATER. The air hose is on the bottom, the water hose is on the top. They were also sold as air only or water only, although I doubt any station ever paid that much for one of these that dispensed water only. All displayed in both of my books.
