Considering how little is out there on Grotken, I would say anything possibly could be considered correct . Ed Shaver

I've seen a few of these pumps in different collections & None of them had the light on top. All looked just like the one above w/ the ball knob.
Believe what ya want as there are only 2 views of this in the book for the Pump Experts!

Possibly the top that you have is worth the same as the bottom you don't have.

Jim, if you are asking for a photo of the top of the "center piece", I don't have that. But, I don't believe the "center piece" is needed as an attachment to a curb pump.
My understanding is that what Mario has, is the cylinder with top and bottom castings, plus the center section, which would have bolted to the top of a Groetken pump.
If you remove that center section, you'd have exactly what my photos show ie: a Groetken visible attachment.
I believe the center section is only needed as part of the original pump.

Mr. Wadhams, yes, there are four bolt holes on the perimiter of where the pipe would screw into the bottom casting.

I also believe that the little ball on the top of the cylinder is not related to any light that might have been on top of the pump.

Hope this helps.
Don

Thanks to all that have replied to this post. To add to the lil ball on top confusion, I believe this was some kind of vent for easy flowing of the fuel because I have found three 1/8"+/- dia vent holes equally spaced on it?

I have a restored pump. It is as yours. Your top fits on a round steel cylinder that is bent to a cylinder shape and is rivited in a straight line from top to bottom. Looks like the photo in the ad. It has the knob on top and no light. Mine has a globe covering the knob. I suspect the body is designed to enclose a curb pump that was already in the buyers possession. I still have the actual pump inside it. I'll look and see if the manufacturer of it is visable. I'll post some photos, too.

Thanks...Poppy

I'll ADMIT to that, NO ONE EVER WILL.
Pump companies did make 1 of a kind/special pumps for customers. Some pumps were modified by secondary companies to fit their customers needs.

The 5gal Broken Groetken I had looked like H1's, which is Nothing like the head unit [as said above] at beginning of this thread.
