If you post an ebay auction, please don't just put up an item number. These expire in 90 days & you can't search them. Please copy & post the description.
Thanks

I posted this in the reproduction section, but it is happening everywhere-
Posters will reference an ebay auction, put the item number, and thats it. In 90 days, the item number is no good, so the link is dead. This is frustrating when I try to research a possible fake, and all I come up with is dead ebay links. I would find it so helpful if when posting about an ebay auction, if the photo & description was copied & pasted. I am pretty new at this, (less then 10 years), and depend on the veterans (experts) here to help me from getting burned on a fake, besides, my wife would kill me a second time!
Thanks for hearing my rant...
Roger

Roger, I understand your frustration with older auction info and pictures that are no longer available. The issue here is copyright infringement. Copying someone else's pictures and words and posting them somewhere else can be a legal problem that could make that person vulnerable to a copyright lawsuit. The likelihood is not great, but it is possible.

A safe alternative is to pay close attention to these auctions and the forum discussions about them. Print the auction pages and file them for future reference about that seller and about similar items.

...another option is for Roger to screen-capture the auction in question, and save the resultant file on his computer...there are many freeware programs available - I use one called Grab...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

If they are a Ebay auction, they will dissapear in 90 days, but if they are a BUY IT NOW, as all of my over 2000 items on Ebay are, they will remain until sold.
