I gave my new project a quick once over tonight. The lower panels that are white and yellow with the red stripe and wrapped in vinyl. Was that a common practice? Can any one tell me how to reset the computer back to zero?

Your pump is a Bennett 4000 series, manufactured in various formats from the early 1960s until 2005 and one of the most common "rebuilt" pumps in use today. Hundreds here in NC. The lower doors from the factory were either painted (could be decalled or have signs installed, this one being decalled) or stainless steel. The reset is electric. Hook up power to the reset wiring (junction box in bottom, should be obvious, follow the conduit) and then turn the handle to reset.

Thanks Carolina traveler. I figured it is a common pump that’s one of the reasons i got it. It also was the type of pump that was around when i was in HS driving what they call now muscle cars. This pump looks cool next to my cars. I found the junction box i want to wire it to light up and reset. The lower doors are red painted under the vinyl i peeled off.

Is there a way to re-set the pump manually with out electricity?
Or can some one tell me how to do it electrically. I opened the fuse box but i don’t have a wiring diagram. Is it 240 or 120? I just want to re-set it and have it light up.

(without electricity)if you take the Dashpot assembly off(looks like a shock aborber) on the side of the veeder-root. then press the trip lever latch , grip the center wheel shaft with a pliers to get tension off 1st, then trip lever. and it will unwind back to 000 automatically. thats how i did mine , back to 000. I can take a photo of the dashpot thing later if your unsure of what i'm talking about.
