Picked up these three nice Wareco Outboard quarts recently. We were actually second in line on these cans, but when the first buyer didn't come through we were able to get them bought and are quite happy to have them!
The Leonard and McClanahan are both from Michigan companies and are tough globes to find. They are each on early male/female capco bodies and they make a neat pair.
Lonnie & Aaron Hop
Wanted: Ripple Body Globes, picture globe, any Dixie Distributors keyhole gas pump globe and ANYTHING from Old Dutch Refining, Muskegon, MI Musgo sign

Red Crown Ethyl globe; letters were painted by the person that I purchased it from, I am going to remove to take back to original condition. Flange sign came from same collection.
Buying: Polarine / Red Crown Gasoline Globes and Signs, Early Chevrolet & United Motors Signs, and 1910's through 1940's Gas & Oil Signs.

I have not posted any BOTW in over 2 months so I thought I'd post some of my favorites. The Mobil collection expanded with the purchase of a nice Mobiloil Outboard sign, some smalls, and while not mint by any means the 100 pound Mobilube can is pretty neat. You just don't see them offered for sale that often. I wanted to share with you the story on the NOS Mobiloil quart with the scarcer Arctic lithographed top. The Ebay seller told me 10-15 years ago his buddy found 3 sealed cases of these ca.1940 cans out west in a storage shed on an old oil field. This guy had a junker old truck that burned oil, so whenever he needed oil he dumped in one of these NOS quarts and threw the cans away! He had thrown out over 65 of these cans before deciding he might try and sell one on Ebay because the "Pickers" liked to buy old oil cans. I think he found out he had made a big mistake over the years! The last pic shows the Marathon Endurance 5 quart I picked up off of Old Gas last week. I've wanted a nice can to go along with my art deco Marathon runner globe so I was glad to be able to add this one to my collection. I've seen several quart versions of this can sell, but this was the first time in my 5 years of collecting that I had seen a 5 quart offered. The other items in the photo were picked up at different antique malls locally. Have a good one all, Darin

I bought this awhile ago, but the shipper just dropped it off yesterday. I have wanted one of these American 700/800 pumps for a long time. I would have been happy with a 900, but glad I got this 710.
