Good early morning (and good night to Mitch and the other night owls on this list).

Today is to be the 11th day over 95 we are getting (may be a record for us). Made worse because our heat comes with high humidity. There are some storms coming though later today that will break it, but they are predicted to be bad...

The weather has gotten the better of me in the form of a heat rash, that's not quick to go away, and has gotten me up early. Better than heat exhaustion that has been a problem with others. Even summer heat loving Bob almost overdid it in the garden a couple of days ago--headache and nausea that went away after time inside and lots of water. We found out that dehydration can cause low blood pressure. Not a fun way to learn, because I had threatened if it did not go up, I was dragging him to the ER. For a smart guy and a student of weather, I can't believe I had to sit there and make him drink two tall glasses of water. The BP did go back up, so maybe I've convinced him that sometimes his wife is smarter than him! grin Probably not...

So I hope you all keep cool and out of bad storms today.

Morning all, Ha we got a thunder boomer shower last night.
Not enough to wet the ground but its a start. About a half in. in the corner of the water tank project as I had the lid off coating underside. Its ready to go, now to talk someone in to helping install. Uncle working on backhole as it has sat up. Think he is draging his feet waiting on the temps to go down.Thats ok free backhoe work is hard to come by.
Little garage time this morning than beat the heat.
Hagd-all!-Make it special for someone!

Good Morning all,

Great picture, Mick.

We had 10 straight days of over 100, whew! Today in the 90s and the week to be 80s near 90. Will seem cool. wink Best part is we got an inch of rain that was desperately needed. Probably not a coincidence, we had 17 Canada geese in the back yard this morning. We haven't seen geese on our lake since the high heat and drought started. Didn't miss their noise and mess at all. I walked around the water's edge enough to annoy them into leaving. Ducks are enough.

Church this morning, then getting ready for a bunch of folks coming over to our place later.

Have a great Sunday out there in Oldgasland, wherever you are.

GOOD MORNING!

Up before light and on the road at 5:15AM for a 26 mile bike ride, out to breakfast with my sister and some big box shopping after. Now just waiting on my sand delivery and then out to meet a new photo model this afternoon. Life is good!

HAGD! smile

Hello All,
I was awoke at 3:30 this morning by a pretty heavy thunderstorm. Got up and unplugged some of the electronics, then about 3 minutes later I saw a huge flash of lightning, and everything went dark! The power was out for about 45 minutes. Luckily living downtown it's rarely out for much longer than an hour.
The local news reported that lightning hit a local apartment complex about 7 am, burning one of the buildings pretty badly. We had another apartment complex get hit a couple months ago and that one was a total loss. Unfortunately, most of these people didn't have renter's insurance.
Hope everyone has a good day.....the weather is supposed to cool a little, which should help on the a/c bill!

Well we hit 102 today (4th day in a row over 100) but the storms that came through brought us down 20 degrees. Lots of lightning but not the winds of a week ago. We also got some needed rain...
