Thanks Tom... If I hadn't sold so many patches, I would have had easily 4 times the number I have now and each was different.... I get bored too easily at times... LOL

Nice collection, Mark. Glad you brought up this old thread. Here's a display of my Buick dealer and body shop patches that I framed last winter. Many of the patches were from my uniforms or issued to me to wear over the years. Some are older than me.

Pakymn, you could open a patch museum with the collection you have!!! Those Sunray Patches are my favorite, I have never seen them and I look for patches all of the time. Very nice.

I don't collect them, but I recently stumbled upon these on eBay for the St. Paul, Minnesota based Oskey Brothers Petroleum Corporation's North Star stations. I have an uncle who worked at one of these full service stations in the 1960s. I'm sure these patches or something like it was part of his uniform.

Hey pakymn. I just spied this KO patch in your collection. Any chance of getting an isolated closeup image of this one? I'm wondering what you can tell me about this. Is this from the Kunz Oil Company's KO stations? Thanks.

Oskey Brothers was acquired by Northwestern Refining Company of St. Paul Park in the 1950's. Northwestern retailed gasoline through SuperAmerica, Laurie Gas, Trax Oil, North Star and Webb stations when in operation.
Norhtwestern was acquired by Ashland Oil in 1970. Ashland eventually changed the stations to SuperAmerica or sold them off.
I worked at the old Northwestern refinery and came across some of these patches there.

Added several NOS patches to the collection. I had never seen the Gray Blue and White Sterling patch and would be curious to hear if anyone had any info on that! My favorites of this group are the MARS, Sterling, Jenney Aero and the Autolite patches.

I'm not a patch collector per se, but do buy Mobil, Marathon and a couple other brands for my brand collections when I see them. I just got this one and thought it was pretty unique as I've not seen one before. I know Mobil had their own press guys that put together the company magazines in the different regions around the country. I assume they sported these patches on their uniforms.
